魚(yú)巷城市廣場(chǎng)的改造項(xiàng)目證明了荒廢的城市空間同樣也有很多的可能性。當(dāng)項(xiàng)目基于場(chǎng)地的歷史、文化和生態(tài)，并且對(duì)新的故事保持開(kāi)放的態(tài)度時(shí)，被遺忘的角落也可以變成有意義的公共空間，綻放新生。

^CONTEXT

該項(xiàng)目意圖將城市廣場(chǎng)和市民公園的典型形態(tài)混合在一起，構(gòu)建一個(gè)后工業(yè)景觀。場(chǎng)地由鐵軌橋下的空間和停車(chē)站組成，位于Turrbal原住民的土地，現(xiàn)今布里斯班南岸文化街區(qū)中心。

設(shè)計(jì)基于亞熱帶森林的概念，嘗試與“交織的大樹(shù)、藤蔓、開(kāi)花的爬山虎、高聳的棕櫚樹(shù)和巨大的蕨類(lèi)植物”構(gòu)成的歐洲殖民時(shí)期之前的生態(tài)社區(qū)建立聯(lián)系。

^{Centring on the concept of the subtropical rainforest, the design threads a connection back to the foregone ecological communities that thrived here prior to European settlement when it was a ‘tangled mass of trees, vines, flowering creepers, towering palms, and giant ferns’ (The Brisbane Courier, 1930).}

如今，超過(guò)3500種植物被重新引入到場(chǎng)地中。蕨樹(shù)、鳥(niǎo)巢蕨、扇形棕櫚、藍(lán)姜和本地紫羅蘭覆蓋了整個(gè)建筑結(jié)構(gòu)，遍布整個(gè)開(kāi)放空間。

^{Today over 3500 plants have been reintroduced to the site. Fern Trees, Birds Nests, Fan Palms, Blue Gingers and Native Violets spill over the architecture and weave through the open spaces.}

^{The pillars are festooned with Swedish and Devil’s Ivy that cascade and shimmer in the dappled light and mist, eliciting the sense of being in an ancient Gondwanan rainforest.}

記錄著原住民和歐洲殖民史的文字通過(guò)噴砂工藝展現(xiàn)在鋪裝上，這種認(rèn)知性的故事敘述方式讓設(shè)計(jì)更加動(dòng)人。裝置承認(rèn)澳大利亞原住民和澳洲現(xiàn)代社會(huì)的關(guān)系在不停變化，以及社會(huì)還需要更多努力與原住民和解的事實(shí)，意在提供更多元的觀點(diǎn)，以促進(jìn)社會(huì)凝聚力。

Offering pluralistic perspectives, this installation promotes social cohesion through acknowledging the truths in the changing relationships in Australian society over time and the work yet still to be done.}

這些景觀干預(yù)不僅彰顯了場(chǎng)地的歷史和文化重要性，還應(yīng)對(duì)了氣候敏感性問(wèn)題，減輕城市熱島效應(yīng)，吸收大氣中碳污染并提供生態(tài)服務(wù)。實(shí)現(xiàn)高水平的生態(tài)完整、文化可持續(xù)以及高度美觀，需要施工方、工程師、建筑師、供應(yīng)商、育苗場(chǎng)以及當(dāng)?shù)厣鐓^(qū)等各方緊密合作。這也涉及到了多個(gè)難題的攻克，例如移除1500mm深的被污染土壤。灌溉系統(tǒng)與雨水箱的連接需要嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)脑O(shè)計(jì)，才能保證昆士蘭州鐵路局可以繼續(xù)對(duì)鐵路橋墩進(jìn)行維護(hù)。為了保證植物在較陰暗的環(huán)境下茁壯生長(zhǎng)，RPS在現(xiàn)場(chǎng)與施工方合作，細(xì)致地確認(rèn)每一株植物的位置和朝向。

^{Working together each of these landscape interventions celebrate the historical and cultural significance of the site while also producing a climatically sensitive response that counteracts the effects of urban heat island effect, absorbs carbon pollutants from the atmosphere and provides ecosystem services. Achieving this level of ecological integrity, cultural sustainability and arresting aesthetics required a complex collaboration process with construction contractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, nurseries, and the community. This involved overcoming several challenges including the removal of contaminated soil to a depth of 1500mm. Connecting the irrigation to the rainwater tank required careful design to allow Queensland Rail maintenance around the railway abutments, and to ensure the vegetation would thrive in the low light environment, RPS were on site working with the construction contractors to carefully locate and orient each plant.}

經(jīng)過(guò)這支多學(xué)科設(shè)計(jì)團(tuán)隊(duì)的努力，突破了傳統(tǒng)的景觀類(lèi)型，創(chuàng)造出融合后工業(yè)公園和城市廣場(chǎng)的景觀模型。在布里斯班逐漸擺脫工業(yè)的過(guò)去，并向知識(shí)型經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展之際，魚(yú)巷城市廣場(chǎng)成為城市中的廢棄空間轉(zhuǎn)變公共資產(chǎn)的成功案例，讓社會(huì)、文化、環(huán)境和經(jīng)濟(jì)更加韌性和繁榮。
