隨著城市的擴張和發(fā)展,老城區(qū)的命運也面臨轉(zhuǎn)折。近年來,社會對于歷史文化的保護和城市更新的重視,使得銀行街這一承載了諸多歷史故事的片區(qū),通過可持續(xù)發(fā)展的設計改造,重新變成城市發(fā)展的一部分。

As the city expands and develops, the fate of the old city faces a turnaround. In recent years, society's emphasis on historical and cultural preservation and urban renewal has led to the transformation of Bank Street, a district that carries many historical stories, back into a part of the city's development through sustainable design and renovation.

 

片區(qū)歷史

蘇州盛澤明清時盛澤已是“日出萬綢、衣被天下”,成為中國四大綢都之一,到達民國更是成為周邊區(qū)域絲綢流通中心。絲綢交易旺盛,市場繁榮,有“小上海”之稱。工商業(yè)的興旺刺激了金融業(yè)的發(fā)展。民國 11 年 (1922 年 )3 月,中國銀行嘉興分行在盛澤分設辦事處,門前的街名命名為銀行街,且一直沿用至今。

Area History

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shengze, Suzhou, was already a “sunrise of ten thousand silks, clothing the world” and became one of the four major silk capitals in China, and in the Republic of China, it became a center for the distribution of silk in the surrounding area. The silk trade was robust, the market was prosperous, and it was called “Little Shanghai”. The prosperity of industry and commerce stimulated the development of the financial industry. Republic of China 11 years (1922) in March, the Bank of China Jiaxing Branch in Shengze branch office, the street in front of the name of the street named Bank Street, and has been used until now.

現(xiàn)狀情況

銀行街名人故居云集,承載了盛澤各階段歷史的縮影,片區(qū)素有 72.5 巷弄的傳名,巷弄多,且有些為單向盡端道路。雖不符合現(xiàn)代城市發(fā)展的要求,但是具有歷史古城的特色和記憶。建筑整體分為粉墻黛瓦的名人故居、傳統(tǒng)民居,以及近現(xiàn)代多層磚混樓房。傳統(tǒng)民居多為1-2層磚木結構,因年代久遠,部分為結構危房。巷道中居民自行搭建的簡易雨棚、空調(diào)外機,加重了街道環(huán)境的雜亂無序,也影響了原本的風貌。


Current Situation

Bank Street is home to many former residences of celebrities, carrying the epitome of Shengze's history at various stages. The district is known as the 72.5 alleys, with many alleys and some one-way dead-end roads. Although it does not meet the requirements of modern urban development, it has the characteristics and memories of a historical ancient city. The overall architecture is divided into celebrity residences with white walls and black tiles, traditional residences, and modern multi-storey brick-concrete buildings. Traditional residences are mostly 1-2-storey brick-wood structures. Due to their age, some are dangerous structures. The simple awnings and air-conditioning units built by residents in the alleys have aggravated the disorder of the street environment and affected the original style.

設計策略

雖然經(jīng)歷了近代的高速發(fā)展,但片區(qū)里仍有很多保留了歷史記憶和文化的老人。改造的目標是在原住民,現(xiàn)代商業(yè)活動和傳播當?shù)貍鹘y(tǒng)用文化等各方面取得一個平衡。在整治違章搭建的同時,盡可能保留各時代痕跡,創(chuàng)造更多的公共綠色空間,增加空間和體驗的多樣性,從而使街區(qū)在整體居住環(huán)境和商業(yè)氛圍得到提升。

具體措施分為:在街口處新建家國共同體作為此片區(qū)的商業(yè)示范點,配合街角的口袋公園,為社區(qū)居民和來往游客提供公共交流空間,提升居住幸福感和社區(qū)活力。銀行街主街商鋪立面改造,和室內(nèi)涂裝,改造前主街商鋪除了具有年代感的老雜貨鋪等,還存在運營狀況不好的小商鋪和部分空置,改造后對外招商,旨在為老街注入新的商業(yè)活力;綜合環(huán)境整治,包括拆除違章搭建,三線入地等基礎設施改善,地面鋪裝,提升街道整體衛(wèi)生條件。

Design Strategy

Despite the rapid development in recent times, there are still many old people in the area who have retained their historical memory and culture. The goal of the remodeling is to strike a balance between the aboriginal people, modern commercial activities and the dissemination of local traditional culture. While remedying illegal structures, we will preserve as many traces of the era as possible, create more public green spaces, and increase the diversity of spaces and experiences, so that the neighborhood will be enhanced in terms of the overall living environment and business atmosphere.

Specific measures are divided into: a new home community at the street entrance as a commercial demonstration point in this area, together with the pocket park at the corner, to provide public communication space for community residents and visitors, to enhance the sense of well-being and community vitality. Bank Street, the main street stores facade renovation, and interior painting, before the transformation of the main street stores, in addition to the old grocery stores with a sense of age, there are also operating conditions of the small stores and part of the vacant, after the transformation of the foreign investment, aimed at injecting new commercial vitality into the old street; comprehensive environmental remediation, including the demolition of unauthorized building structures, the three lines into the ground, and other infrastructure improvements, paving, and to enhance the overall sanitation of the street.

建筑整體設計

家國共同體單體為場地新建建筑,緊鄰重建后的程開甲故居,場地原址建筑部分為結構危房,且加劇了路口道路的通行難題。因此對原建筑拆除后,打開路口空間,形成新的口袋公園和新建建筑單體,作為公共空間服務于社區(qū)。對于在歷史區(qū)域中的新建建筑,設計團隊對周邊建筑,街道環(huán)境進行了謹慎的考量,高度上退讓程開甲故居,建筑基地范圍也較原拆除建筑進行了退讓,擴大了原本局促的街角,使得非機動車和行人可以安全通行。建筑風格采用了和街區(qū)及相鄰故居相同的粉墻黛瓦,但更為現(xiàn)代的體塊和大面積玻璃窗,以保證商業(yè)建筑的昭示性。建筑一層為咖啡館,二層為小會議室,為參觀片區(qū)故居的游學活動提供交流場所。


Building Monolithic Design

The Home Country Community is a new building on the site, adjacent to the reconstructed Cheng Kaijia's former residence, the original site is part of the structure of the dangerous houses, after the demolition, as a new building monolithic and pocket park area. For the new building in the historical area, the design team has carefully considered the surrounding buildings and the environment, and the height is controlled in such a way that it does not affect the pedestrian's view of Cheng Kaijia's former residence, and the scope of the building base has been set back from the original demolished building, enlarging the corner of the street that was originally constricted, so that the non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians can pass through safely. The architectural style is the same as that of the neighborhood and the adjacent residence, but with a more modern massing and large glass windows to ensure that the commercial building is visible. The building has a café on the first floor and a small meeting room on the second floor, which provides a place to meet and exchange ideas for school trips to the neighborhood's residences.

作為城市地方文脈的傳承載體,歷史街區(qū)保護與再生能夠延續(xù)城市文脈,提升人居環(huán)境的滿意度與幸福感。歷史街區(qū)的更新改造設計是城市更新的重要內(nèi)容與關鍵點。在歷史街區(qū)的保護改造設計中,要遵循整體性的原則,即對歷史街區(qū)的改造不能僅僅局限于建筑設計,而應該包含建筑及其周邊環(huán)境,  更應該注重當?shù)氐牡胤教厣幕c遺產(chǎn)保護。同時也要注重公眾的參與度,讓當?shù)鼐用瘾@得文化認同感、幸福感與歸屬感。結合程開甲故居的修復啟用,同步展開街區(qū)整治和商業(yè)引導,在主要街道植入功能性業(yè)態(tài)和文旅體驗,以點帶面,逐步展開歷史街區(qū)保護傳承和活化利用,形成示范效應。

 

As the inheritance carrier of urban local culture, the protection and regeneration of historic districts can continue the urban culture and enhance the satisfaction and happiness of the living environment. Renewal and reconstruction design of historic districts is an important content and key point of urban renewal. In the protection and renovation design of historic districts, it is necessary to follow the principle of wholeness, i.e. the renovation of historic districts should not be limited to architectural design, but should include the buildings and their surroundings, and should pay more attention to the local characteristics of culture and heritage protection. At the same time, public participation should also be emphasized, so that local residents can obtain a sense of cultural identity, happiness and sense of belonging. In conjunction with the restoration and opening of Cheng Kaijia's former residence, simultaneous block improvement and commercial guidance should be carried out, and functional business models and cultural and tourism experiences should be implanted in the main streets, so as to lead the way for the gradual development of the protection and inheritance of historic districts and their revitalization and utilization, and to form a demonstration effect.
